Hi! I have recently moved into an area full of manzanita trees. They fascinate me! I have found your website when looking for some help on manzanita carving – when to carve, what tools are best to use, how to polish and preserve. I want to learn, not because I see a sale value in such sculptures, but because the wood of manzanita trees is so fascinating and magnetic. Is there any way you may give me some advice?

I recently purchased one of Dave’s pens. I will tell you that when it comes to pens I am extremely picky. I am left handed and write contracts for a living as well as lots of hand-written cards. I have yet to find a pen that does not give me the “left-handed smudge”. You lefties know what I mean. I have finally found one that doesn’t! Not only that but the pen is gorgeous. Sleek in design and very comfortable to hold. I had a hard time choosing my favorite from the wide variety Dave had to offer. Thank you Dave for making a quality product that looks great and makes my life easier!

These are 2 of the 4 pens David has turned for me and My wife, Karen. She prefers the heftier cigar style and I the slimline. My pens are with me whenever I leave the house and because I often neglect to take them from my shirt pocket, they have both experienced washing machine baptisms with no lasting ill effect! David's pens are not only stunningly beautiful but they can stand up to abuse and come up writing!
